Arthur L Deal

He was born April 5, 1957 in Chicago to Warren and Hazel F. (Doman) Deal. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Danny Deal.

Surviving are two daughters, Tabitha Deal of Fort Worth, Texas and Katlyn Deal of Topeka; one son, Nathan Deal of Forth Worth, Texas; three granddaughters, Ryleigh Deal, Avan Deal and Baleigh Deal; one brother, James (Debbie) Deal of Texas; his step-father, John Peoples of Washington; one step-brother, Gary (Cheryl) Peoples of Washington; two step-sisters, Patsy (Clifford) Boswell of Washington and Laurie Sams of East Peoria; one aunt, Betty Wiggins of Pekin; and his girlfriend, Patti Vincent of Topeka.

He had served in the United States Navy.

Art was a livestock worker for Cargill Meat Solutions in Beardstown for the past 3 years, last working October 28th. Previously, he worked for CSD in Glasford for 6 years and at Caterpillar, Inc.He was a member of the Roy L. King Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1232 in Pekin.

Art was loved by many and was a very caring and family oriented man.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito.
