PEKIN ~ Ashley Ann Mendenhall, 18, of 1418 Illinois Street, passed away at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Pekin Hospital Emergency Room.She was born April 19, 1992 in Peoria to Ronald D. and Joy L. (Wilhelm) Mendenhall.Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Joy and Brett Chilton of Pekin; her father, Ronald Mendenhall of Havana; one brother, Andrew A. Mendenhall of Pekin; one step-sister, Madison Chilton, her grandparents, Robert J. Mendenhall of Havana, Diana and Dennis Sours of Spring Lake and Larry and Sandra Wilhelm of Pekin and her step-grandparents Dennis and Margaret Frisby. She also leaves her great-grandmother, Natalie and Don Ross of Pekin.Ashley enjoyed spending time on the computer and with her closet friend, Sara. She also enjoyed making music.Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Jim Dawson with God & Country Independent Baptist Church in Pekin will officiate.
