Born April 4, 1935 in Easton to Willis and Bessie (Hall) Hamblin, she married Harold Banister on December 2, 1951 in Glasford. They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Rick Bannister and one sister; Mary Leonard.

Surviving are one son, Michael (Kathy) Bannister of Pekin; three grandchildren, Shawn Bannister of Tremont, Heidi (Deven) Doss of Washington and Erin Brown of Smithfield and six great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed going to auctions, loved camping with her grandkids, playing cards and bingo.

Barbara formerly attended Glasford Baptist Church.

Her graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
