Becky Joan Fribbs

PEKIN ~ Becky “BJ” Joan Fribbs, 72, of Pekin, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Monday September 6, 2021 at her home. Born October 21, 1948 to Janet Lambeth, she married Walter “Wally” Fribbs September 6, 1995 in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Joan (Jeff) Jefford and Jamie Miller, both of Pekin; three grandchildren, Corey (Emily) Jefford of Chillicothe, Tyler Jefford of Chicago and Morgan Jefford of Pekin; two great-grandchildren, Allyza and Xanthis; one sister, Linda Hoerr of Pekin; one sister in law, Shirley Franklin of Peoria; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Snickers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet Lambeth and Bernice Koons; one brother, Terry Gene Greenwood and two sisters, Patricia Elaine Dill and Sheila Kent. BJ worked as a CNA for over 30 years, 23 of which were at Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was a caring person who loved to help people any way she could. She loved spending her time traveling and crocheting. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A celebration of life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church in South Pekin.
