Benny Owen Boyer

He was born on August 12, 1958 in Pekin, a son of Clarence and Mary Jo (Brown) Boyer. Benny married Margaret Mitchell on August 16, 1980, in Pekin. She survives.

Benny is also survived by his mother, Mary Jo Boyer of South Pekin; three daughters, Robin (Mike) Henry of Washington, Brittany (Jim Barlow) Yoches of Forsythe, Amber (Matthew) Knott of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Kaylin (Wyatt), Caleb (Alexandria), Kirk, Kole, Kyrah, Emmy and Collin; two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Copelend; two sisters, Lucinda Rassi of Green Valley and Regina Boyer of Pekin and one brother, William (Nicole Foreman) of South Pekin.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Terry Boyer.

Benny worked as a truck driver for Teamster’s Local # 627 for Cullinan for 32 years, last working in 2017.

He was a member of the American Paint Horse Association. Benny enjoyed fishing, tractor pulls and showing horses.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin. A celebration of life will be held on a later date.
