Bertha Louise McLaughlin

Born on April 3, 1935, in Bloomington, she was a daughter of Elmer Earl and Pearl Mollie (McGrady) Eyrse. She married Clarence McLaughlin, Sr. and he preceded her in death. Bertha was also preceded by her parents; one son, Earl McLaughlin; one sister and three brothers.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Shelley) McLaughlin of Marquette Heights, Rick (Shelly) McLaughlin of Creve Coeur, Patricia “Pat” Baldwin of East Peoria and Chris (Tiffany) McLaughlin of Monmouth; one sister, Dorothy Nevelle of Morton, 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Bertha enjoyed doing word searches and watching Chicago Cubs baseball.

Her graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory of Pekin.
