

Born April 15, 1923 in Manito to Lafayette and Pearl Gay Talbott, she married Joseph Franklin "Frank" Cranwill on October 14, 1945. He died October 9, 1996 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Roger T. (Cathi) Cranwill of San Diego, California and Gerald F. Cranwill of rural Manito; two grandchildren, Juli A. Cranwill of Washington and Jarrod B. (Jodi) Cranwill of Fort Carson, Colorado; one step-granddaughter, Dawn (Mark) Godes of Crystal Lake; three step-great-grandchilden; and one brother, John Talbott of Pekin.
Betty worked for Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville for several years. She then worked for the Department of Labor at the Illinois Department of Unemployment Compensation in Pekin for 31 years.
She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in rural Groveland and its widows club. She enjoyed sewing and caring for her yard.
Her memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 18040 Unsicker Road, Groveland. The Rev. Dr. Steven E. Hauter will officiate. There will be no visitation. She donated her body to medical science.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
