Betty M. Pounder

Born Nov. 11, 1925 in Pekin to Clifford H. and Josephine (Rhodes) Speer, she married Arthur G. Pounder on June 4, 1945. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, John; one sister; and six brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy J. Landrith; adopted son, Ernest Pounder; five grandchildren, Debbra S. (Robert) Anderson, Edward A. Goldsby, Danie’le (Kevin) Shelby, Bobbie (R.J.) Jones, James W. Landrith; six great grandchildren, Gaige, Kortnie, Tori, Taylor, Parker, Jesse; and several other great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Betty was a homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and loved all animals.

Cremation has been accorded. Memorial Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Frank Noyes officiating. Family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
