

She was born December 21, 1925 in Bryant to Clarence and Florence (Lee) Doman. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Leland Russell Munson; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and two nephews.
Surviving are seven daughters, Florence (Jake) Weber of Peoria, Linda (Ron) Tuley of Atchison, Kansas, Pamela (John) Newman of East Peoria, Bonnie Sue Munson of Pekin, Vickie (Lloyd, Jr.) Cassidy of North Pekin, Jackie (Rob “Ox” Pleines) Burch-Harris of Minier, and Betty (Richie) Harris of North Pekin; three sons, Richard (Mary) Munson of North Pekin, Chris Munson of Pekin, and Jack Burch of Delavan; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her long-time friend, Jack Smith; former son-in-law, Paul Harris; and Tony Davis, who was like a son and she helped raise.
Betty worked at Pekin Hospital for 17 years in laundry. Previously, she worked at several area dry cleaners.
She was a member of the Roy L. King Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1232 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, working puzzle books, and watching soap operas.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Huey Long will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
