PEKIN ~ Billy J. Brandt, 57, of South Padre Island, Texas, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Texas. He was formerly of Pekin.He was born January 25, 1949 in Pekin to Elmer J. and Hazel M. Brandt.
Surviving are his mother of East Peoria, two sisters, Judy (Gary) Little of Tremont and Karen (Bud) Grimm of Pekin; one brother, Robert (Patty) Brandt of Roanoke, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
His father preceded him in death.
He served as a military policeman in the United States Army.
Bill owned and operated Brandt and Whitney Antique Restoration in Denver, Colorado for many years. He then worked at Complete Water Systems in Port Isabel, Texas for six years, retiring January 2006.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
