Bruce Sieg

He was born July 30, 1953 in Peoria to Harold E. and Marilyn J. (McCann) Sieg. He married Lita Jo Barnette on July 7, 1973 in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his children Craig (Karri) Sieg of Springfield, IL, Chris (Brooke) Sieg of Tremont, and Ashley (Eric) Turner of Mapleton; his father, Harold E. Sieg of Washington; four brothers, Chuck (Mary) Sieg of Lewistown, Joe (Kim) Sieg of Spring Bay, Brad (Mahala) Sieg of Peoria, and Scott Sieg of Jacksonville, IL; and two grandchildren, Sydney Sieg (his pride) and Reid Turner (his joy).

Bruce was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School. He worked as an operating engineer for Operating Engineers Local 649 for 37 years.

He enjoyed being outside, where he could spend time with his grandkids, take care of his pond, and spend time on his tractor.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 18, 2010 at Woolsey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 P.M., on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kingston Mines Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
