

Born September 5, 1931 in Peoria to Edward and Mattie (Kaylor) Moeller, he married Sandra McDaniel on November 26, 1955 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Surviving are his wife of 67 years; one daughter, Debbie Parksey of Madison, Wisconsin; two sons, Edward (Kelly) Moeller and Noah (Lorri) Lenne, both of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (TJ) Watts of Manito, Jamie (Zac) O’Brien of Madison, Wisconsin, Scott Lenne of Green Valley, Katelyn (Greg) Halko of Madison, Wisconsin, Audrey Pennington of Pekin, Tyler (Hayle) Parksey of Madison, Wisconsin and Megan Moeller of Bloomington and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Moeller and his son-in-law, Bruce Parksey.
Calvin was a Korean War veteran of the United States Navy.
He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. at various facilities for 25 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the UAW Local 974 in East Peoria.
A loving and caring husband, dad and grandpa, Calvin loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Calvin was a longtime member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, where he had volunteered for several years at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. He also was a third degree member of Knights of Columbus Archbishop Schlarman Council 3507 and a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus Assembly 210, both in Pekin.
His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will be the celebrant. A private family visitation will be at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Burial will be at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
