Carol Jane Ritter

Born February 17, 1939 in Galesburg to Julian A. and Marguerite (Fitzsimmons) Mitchell, she married Charles J. Ritter on November 9, 1990 in Groveland. He died April 13, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Mitch, Bill and Michael Mitchell and three sisters, infant sister, Joyce, Theresa Taylor and Kay Scarles.

Surviving are two sons, Brian (Patricia) Galyean and Keith (Cindy) Galyean, both of Manito; one daughter, Laura “Lori” Galyean of Manito; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Janet) Mitchell of Galesburg and Bob Mitchell of Long Beach, California and two sisters, Eloise (Ken) Fransen of Orion and Patricia Koons of California.

A homemaker, Carol enjoyed reading, embroidering and spending time with her family.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There are no services scheduled at this time.
