Carolyn M Teijido

She was born March 8, 1981 in Canton to Thomas George and Janet Marie (Bertels) Teijido.

Surviving are her father and step-mother, Thomas Teijido and Maureen Naughtin of Pekin; one sister, Clara (Patrick) Kelly of Boxford, MA; paternal grandmother, Ruth Teijido of Quincy; step-grandmother, Teresa Naughtin of Kewanee; several aunts, uncles and cousins and close friend, Heidi Thomas.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Janet Teijido; maternal grandparents; paternal grandfather and step-grandfather.

Carolyn was a 1999 graduate of Pekin Community High School and received her Associates Degree from Illinois Central College.

She loved camping, hiking and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with family, watching movies, reading and caring for animals.

Carolyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.

Her funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Scott Potthoff will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with recitation of the Rosary at 4 p.m. Burial will be at Hyatt Cemetery in rural Cuba.
