

Born April 28, 1947, in Peoria to Charles and Betty Baker, he married Barbara Inman on December 23, 1967, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chad (Kim) Baker of Bellevue and Jim Baker of Canton; six grandchildren, Blake, Cameron, Cidney, Shelby, Kalin and James Dean and six great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kinley, Jackson, Brooklyn, Walter and Juliet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patsy and Diane.
Butch was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He worked as a boilermaker and was a part of the Boilermakers Local 60 for 55 years, retiring in 2007.
Butch enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching golf.
A celebration of Butch’s life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday June 22, 2025, at the American Legion 4501 South Airport Road, Bartonville, Illinois 61607. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
