

Born July 4, 1919 in Groveland Township, Tazewell County to John Franklin and Ruth V. (LaRosh) Hanson, he married Phyllis J. Reinhard on October 16, 1948 in Pekin. She died May 9, 1995 in Pekin. He also was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Surviving are one brother, John F. (Marge) Hanson of Neillsville, Wisconsin; two sisters, Alice M. Abrahamson and Lois K. (Wendell) Frette, both of Paxton and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck had worked for the LaRosh Poultry Farm and Dairy in North Pekin for 50 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Tazewell County Farm Bureau and A.A.R.P.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin, where he was a member and past president of the United Methodist Men. He was a former member of the YAM Adult Sunday School Class and the Friendship Club of the church. Chuck also had served the church as a longtime usher and as a member of the church council and history committee.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006at Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
