Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing..He was a good man and we remember him fondly...Donna and Ed we love and our hearts ache for your loss. We may not be there (due to health issues) but are prayers and thoughts are as well as the rest of your family...Makes us keenly aware that we only have this second and need to be the best we can be ...God Bless You All




I have many memories of my Uncle Charles, starting when I was just a little girl. I often played at his house with my cousins, many times staying the night. I remember a “funny” uncle that laughed and joked with us. When we were all together visiting Mommy and Poppy in Tennessee, Charles would be the one that would take us to climb the big gullies, hook the wagon to the tractor for a trip to Elbert’s store so we could get us a “cold drink” and a moon pie, and he was always willing to play a game of baseball with his nieces and nephews in Poppy’s big yard. I think he liked games more than we know as he sure enjoyed his dart-ball over the last many years. Luckily, I was able to have a pretty good visit with him a few weeks ago .Charles is no longer in pain and is at peace. Gone, but he will never be forgotten. My family will miss him.

Love to all the family and friends of Charles. Some of my fondest memories of our trips to TN to visit family were with my mother's and Charles family. Charles Daddy and my grandmother's mother were brother and sister. When I was a child I didn't understand Momma's family relationships in TN because we weren't there as often as in IL. As an older adult I now cherish the wonderful extended family and wish we could have had more time together. I have enjoyed getting closer to Charles daughter, my cousin Donna in last few years...cherish family..take the time while you have it with loved ones. Rest in Peace Cousin and friend


Uncle Charles, even though we only got to visit a couple of times a year, you are missed & loved by many, many family & friends!! I'll always remember going to Lookout Falls, TN with your family, Ray & Mary Jo & family & Mother, Daddy & our family!! You Ray would act like you had not seen each other in years, hug, shake hands & laugh!! You probably did this 7 or 8 times around the park!!! We laughed so hard!! I know you got to do it again when you saw him in Heaven!!

Charles & Doris were wonderful neighbors. We are so blessed to have had them in our lives and so many wonderful times shared on our front porches. Our sympathy to their family. Rest in peace.
