He was born March 10, 1986 in Peoria, he was the son of James A. and Joy Christine (Jeffrey) Schramm.
Surviving are his parents of Pekin; one brother, Beau (Angel Firgurski) Schramm of Pekin; one sister, JoElle Schramm of Pekin; one niece, Paige Schramm; his grandfather, Charles Jeffrey of Pekin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A 2003 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Chase was a 2007 graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. He had a double minor in Sociology and Psychology.
Following college, Chase moved to the St. Louis area, where he lived and worked in the restaurant industry. He last worked at Yesterday’s Bar & Grill and for Value Check, both in Pekin. He was a mixology enthusiast, which served him well in building all kinds of drinks for people to enjoy.
He loved the ocean and was proud to have earned his master diver certification.
Throughout life he loved hockey and played in high school and college.
He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin. Chase also was a member of the Pekin Moose Family Center 916.
His memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Heather Robertson will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded.
