Bob was the son of Harry E. Stocker and Dorothy Minor Stocker, and the beloved brother of Pat Stocker, all of whom preceded him in death. He married Marlene Snyder in 1971, who also preceded him in death.
Bob graduated from Choate College Preparatory School and Columbia University in New York City. Bob was proud of his education and the opportunities it provided him.
He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army Paratrooper Corps, a service to his country that brought great memories for him.
Bob spent many years traveling and working in Europe, experiences that broadened his outlook and enriched his life. He built a successful career with Caterpillar Tractor Company, working in materials handling and planning.
Bob and Marlene lived in Morton and later Pekin. They enjoyed many years of living in California during the winter months.
Those who knew Bob will remember him as a good friend and a great kidder, someone whose quick wit and fun spirit made him an unforgettable guy.
Bob is survived by friends and cousins, and all are smiling with many good memories.
Bob's family has arranged a graveside service at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate.
