

Born April 18, 1928 in Chatfield, MN to Leo and Ida (Spieker) Tuohy, she married Francis Taylor on September 1, 1951 in Chicago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Chapley of Mesa, AZ, Anne (John) Hartupee of St. Louis, MO and Celia (Jerry) Stolin of St. Charles, MO; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Irene Napier of Crystal Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stephen Taylor; one brother and one sister.
Charlotte was a legal secretary for Roth & Smith for over 10 years.
Charlotte was a charter member of Greater Pekin Area Chapter of A.A.R.P. and participated in activities at the Miller Center in Pekin. She was a member of the Pekin Hospital Auxiliary and the Pekin Friends of the Library. Charlotte formerly volunteered with the Tazewell County Home Extension and loved to sew, make smocking and do needlework. She also enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, square dancing, bicycling and walking.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and the Council of Catholic Women.
She will be remembered as a wonderful mom.
Her memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Monsignor Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial Mass at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
