

She was born December 23, 1921 in Delavan to Oscar C. and Mary G. (Harmon) Anderson. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Anderson and her twin, Charles Anderson.
Surviving are one son, Kurt O. Vanderheyden of Pekin and three sisters, Helen Potter of Morton, Louise Fabry and Lucille (Bill) Howat, both of Pekin. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Esther Anderson of Havana.
Charlotte had worked for Middle States Telephone Company, Caterpillar, American Distilling and for the City of Pekin.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years.
Charlotte also was a member of the Pekin Hospital League and a former longtime Pekin Hospital volunteer and league member.
She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, serving other and making the best pies in town. One of her greatest joys was when she and her son met Mother Teresa.
Her memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2008at First United Methodist Church in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
