She was born December 12, 1960 in Pekin to Veldon and Anna Mae (Harvey) Vevig. Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving is one sister, Vicky (Don) Wyss of Manito; one brother, Clay Vevig of Pekin; several nieces and nephews and one great niece.
She worked at Tazewell County Resource Center.
Cheri enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, playing games and watching WWE and Hulk Hogan. She enjoyed her time living at Davies Square Group Home before her passing.
Cheri was a member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Manito. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
