Clara J Belmonte

Born December 7, 1923 in Kiowa, Oklahoma to Logan Eugene and Gladys Mae (Lee) Russell, she married Fiore S. Belmonte, Sr. on February 11, 1947 in Chicago. He died on October 16, 2004 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by one sister.

Surviving are two sons, Fiore S., Jr. (Karen) Belmonte of Petersburg and Christopher of Chicago; eight grandchildren, Fiore S., III (Christy) Belmonte, Joseph (Amber) Belmonte, both of Springfield, Connie (Troy) Matthews of Pekin, Rachel (Matt) Fehl of Bartonville, Alexis (TJ) Moeller of Utah, Dianna Belmonte of California, Jackie Belmonte and Holly Belmonte, both of Chicago; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Wallace Russell of Alexandria, Virginia.

A longtime resident of Chicago, she had worked as a data processing manager for West Suburban Hospital in Chicago.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 North Harlem Avenue in Chicago. Burial will take place in Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
