Connie J Berkley

Born February 16, 1958 in Peoria to Perry D. and Carrie E. (Hamilton) Smith, she married Tony D. Berkley on May 15, 1998 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are three children, Amy (Ryan) Hasty of Effingham, Paul (Stacie) Osborne of Groveland and Melissa S. Berkley of Pekin; six grandchildren, Braden Hasty, Mason Hasty, Dawson Osborne, Kailynn Osborne, Kinsley Osborne and Carson Osborne; one sister, Cindy Sorenson of Port Angeles, Washington and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Angel Dudley.

Connie worked for Key Industries alongside her husband for 20 years. They later worked at Caterpillar Inc.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and tending to her flowers. Connie was caring and compassionate. She loved animals, especially cats and would care for any stray that she encountered.

A gathering celebrating Connie’s life will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Miller Center Room B, 551 South 14th Street in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
