Born on December 10, 1952, in Pekin to John Edgar and Edna May (Hoerr / Crider) Lee. Kay married Chester Don Weast on January 24, 1975, in Pekin. He survives.
Kay is also survived by four sons; Richard (Beth) Meyer of Channahon, twins; Chester Dan (Wendy) Weast of Prairie City and Chester Don Weast Jr. of Pekin, and Carl (Renna) Burk of Lacon, eleven grandchildren; Kasha Weast of Peoria, Gwen Bills of Pekin, Alexis Weast of Peoria, Sky Weast of Dallas City, Taralyn Meyer of Ottawa, DJ Weast of Prairie City, Brittany Meyer of Channahon, Jaden Meyer of Channahon, and Kami Meyer of Channahon, Brittany Burk of Lacon, and Carl Burk of Lacon, 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister Sandy (Dale) Dover of Homosassa, FL, one brother; Frank (Lula) Livengood of Pekin.
She was preceded by her parents, two brothers; Robert Samuel Livingood and Danny Livingood, one sister; Elizabeth Patton, and one niece; Cindy McMullen.
Kay worked in housekeeping at Pekin Hospital for 36 years, retiring in 2014. She was a member of the New Life Church on Derby. Kay enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo and doing crafts.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin Chapel. Funeral service will start at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Dave Wilder will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin on a later date.
