

He was born May 30, 1950 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Charlotte (Naylor) Felmey. His parents and one sister, Deborah Felmey preceded him in death.
Surviving are five children, Robin Wade of Peoria, Shawn Felmey of East Peoria, Eric Felmey of Hanna City, Stacy Zimmerman of Farmington, Minnesota, and Carrie (Chris) Dewitt of Pekin; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four siblings, Cynthia Ackerson of East Peoria, JoAnne (Rick) Blair of Princeton, Cheryl (Michael) Ackerman of Rantoul, and Todd Felmey of Bunker Hill.
Curtis was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushrooming, camping, and golfing. He loved spending time with his family and will always be known as a man who was timely, spoke his mind, and was cherished by all who knew him.
He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 39 years, before retiring in 2007 and continued working by consulting and traveling until 2012.
A gathering celebrating Curtis’s life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Sunset Hills Golf & Eatery in Pekin.
