Born October 22, 1950 in Wheeler, he was the son of Harry and Opal (Lytle) Robards. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one son, Quinton Curtis Robards; seven brothers and one sister
Surviving are one son, Tommy (Lilibeth) Robards of Colorado Springs, Colorado; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Anita (Steve) Harris of Crossville, Tennessee and one brother, Joe Robards of Chillicothe. He also leaves a friend and caregiver, Conny Armstrong of Pekin. He also leaves extended family for over 30 years, Todd Emert of Pekin and Billy and Nichole Lovan of Texas, all who called him dad.
He was a United States Army veteran.
Curtis formerly owned and operated his own siding company for many years.
He enjoyed playing pool leagues and in pool tournaments as well as loved playing Texas Hold’em.
His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
