Dale E. Ary

PEKIN ~ Dale E. Ary, 81, of Pekin, passed away at 11 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was formerly of Green Valley.

Born November 9, 1940 in Pekin to Carl Everett and Julia (Cannon) Ary, he married Ellen Eileen Livengood on June 9, 1962 in Pekin. She died September 26, 1997 in Green Valley. He also was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Eugene Ary on February 27, 1997; one daughter, Jill Ann Payne on August 25, 1989; two brothers, Jim Ary and Carl Ary and two sisters, Mary Knox and Lois Ford.

Surviving are one son, Matthew Ary of Pekin; seven grandchildren, Brileigh Ary, Braxten Ary, Bristol Ary, Grant (Cassie) Tyler, Gabriel Tyler, Holly (Mark) Kennedy and Blake Tyler and eight great-grandchildren.

Dale was a 1958 graduate of Green Valley High School.

A retired member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 1, Dale worked out of the union for 15 years. He previously worked 20 years at Corn Products Company and 5 years at American Distilling Company.

He was of the Catholic faith.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father James Pankiewicz will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
