He was born June 27, 1980 in Peoria to Dwayne and Brenda (Teel) Hoffer.
Surviving are his mother, Brenda Stecher of Peoria Heights; father, Dwayne Hoffer of Peoria; one brother, Chris Hoffer of Washington; two sisters, Malissa (Allen) Broomfield of Washington and Leanna Kelley of Mossville; nine nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Bella.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Mike Stecher.
Daniel worked as a forklift operator at Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville.
He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his motorcycle and four-wheelers. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.
A service celebrating Daniel's life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
