Daniel Lee McKinley

Born October 24, 1951 in Peoria to John Wayne and Vera Marie (Seibenborn) McKinley, he married Lisa Engel on September 11, 2009. She survives.

Also surviving are five children, Jamie (James) Nelson of Pekin, Michael Todd Engel of Oklahoma, Holly (Joe) Blanquart of Glasford, Michelle and Nikki Engel, both of Pekin; six grandchildren, Galen, Tyler, Reilly, Morghan, Brock and Karrigan; three great-grandchildren, Asher, Melodee and Avalynn; three siblings, Diane Ray of Havana, Donna Hays of Missouri and Dean McKinley of Pekin and his Shih Tzu, Fuzzy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dennis McKinley and his beloved dog, Bubba.

Dan owned and operated DM Landscape in Pekin for over 15 years. He also was an operator at United Contractors Midwest in Tremont.

He enjoyed fishing and working on tractors and equipment. He also loved anything that would get him outside, especially landscaping, where he took great pride in his work.

The family will receive friends at their home from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
