

Born October 21, 1943 in Frankfort to Virgil and Annabelle (Thorpe) Owsley, he met the love of his life, Velma Mylott over 12 years ago and cherished the time they spent together.
Surviving are his fiancé, Velma Mylott of Pekin; three daughters, Heidi (Brandon Bale) Strawn of Pekin, Danell (Michael) Culkin of Delevan and Teri (Ray) Miller of Frankenmuth, Michigan ; one son, Jason (Mindi) Roush of Hallsville, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Daniel, Makinzie, Lanie, Jessica, Chase, Rachel, Ryan, Emily, Jacob, Liam, Tanner and Kylee; 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Gladys Heaton of East Peoria and Lana Peters of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by his previous wife, Sandra K. Owsley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jo Harris and two brothers, Terry Owsley and William “Bill” Owsley.
Danny was a passionate artist, he specialized in painting and made his career creating signs. Eventually owning and operating his own business Dan’s Signs.
He was passionate about his art and painting. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. His grandchildren were the light of life and he loved spending time with them.
Danny had strong faith in God and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Pekin.
A gathering celebrating Danny’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
