Darlene Kay Fleeharty

Born May 29, 1937 in Pekin to Albert and Dorothy (Martin) Gray, she married Arthur W. Fleeharty on July 3rd in Pekin. He died November 26, 2009 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Casey Fleeharty and five siblings, Julie Harmon, Wilma Howard, Duane Gray, Cletus Gray and Grace Cook.

Surviving are five children, Jim Fleeharty of Pekin, Donnetta (Tony) Vansaghi of South Pekin, Terry (Patty) Fleeharty of Manito, Kevin Fleeharty of Tremont and Melissa (Greg) Abbott of Byron; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and two sisters, Karen Hahn of Pekin and Neva (Jack) Koestner of Washington.

Darlene was a homemaker, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a former member of the Sand Ridge Community Church in Topeka.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Spring Lake Cemetery in rural Manito.
