Born February 6, 1955 in Pekin to Donald and Betty (Daniel) Neville, he married Teresa "Terrie" Geier on October 20, 1973 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Allie) Neville of Pekin and Mathew (Holly) Neville of Lewistown; five grandchildren, Hunter, Emma, Kendall, Tyler and Justin; one brother, Danny (Janice) Neville of Modesto, California; one sister, Donita (Randy) Breaden of Pekin and one brother-in-law, Wayne Eubanks of Kilgore, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Diana Eubanks.
Darrell worked for Safety-Kleen as an oil tank driver for 19 years before retiring. He also had worked for Sentinel Pest Control for 9 years and also Caterpillar, Inc.
A devoted husband, his family was a priority for him. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids in their sports and activities. He also had coached for his kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Pekin. He enjoyed fishing.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
His memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will be the celebrant. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with a eulogy service held at 5 p.m. Inurnment will follow the memorial Mass in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
