Born October 6, 1968 in Peoria, he was the son of Floyd and Susan (Bayard) Force of Pekin. They survive.
Also surviving are his one son; Jacob (Autumn) Force of East Peoria; one daughter, Kaitlin (Isaac) Hunter of Pekin; five grandchildren, Rylan Force of East Peoria, Nicholas and Danielle Forbess, both of Iowa, Jameson and Penelope Hunter, both of Pekin and his life partner and girlfriend, Beverly Roberts of East Peoria.
David owned and operated Force Masonry, which was founded by David in April of 2004. David began his journey in masonry, at just 22 years old, working for a small company as a mason tender (laborer). After five years of labor experience, David joined Bricklayers “BAC Local 6” for a three year apprenticeship. Before the 3 years apprenticeship was complete, David landed a job with a commercial masonry company and began his career as a foreman. After two years of diligently working as a foreman, David was promoted to general foreman. David has built everything from jails, schools, hospitals, and more.
In the year 2004, he decided it was time to go out on his own and create a masonry company named, Force Masonry. Word spread quickly about the quality work David’s newly formed company completed, therefore he became focused on custom residential projects. David loved working with his son and teaching him the trade and they grew Force Masonry into the company it is today.
David enjoyed fishing, drag racing and car shows. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family just sitting on the deck at home.
A gathering celebrating David’s life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday April 9, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory Pekin. There will be no service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 South Riverside Plaza, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
