He was born May 1, 1949 in Weona, Arkansas to Mark and Mabel (Lillard) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Angie (Mike) Ishmael of Green Valley and Elizabeth Crider of Manito; four grandchildren; his former son-in-law, Rodney Crider of South Pekin; and ten brothers and sisters.
He worked as a foreman on the railroad for Herzog Contracting in St. Joseph, Missouri, Illinois Central Gulf in Metropolis and also for GM&O.
He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation or funeral. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin will officiate.
