David Scott Bearden

He was born June 6, 1956 in Peoria.

He is preceded in death by his parents David and La Von Bearden. He is survived by his sister Da Von Bearden of Washington IL, two daughters, Lisa Bearden of Metamora IL and Lauren Bearden of Chicago IL and numerous cousins.

Scott graduated from Washington High School in 1974 and worked for the City of Eureka as the water plant operator for 35 years.

He was a dedicated and loving father, brother and son. He acted as an art dad and sports spectator for many years. He was best known for his contagious smile, gentle nature, and sense of humor. He had an artistic side and 

loved to draw and make stained glass windows.

Everyone loved Scott. He was a friend to everyone he knew and was always willing to help in any way he could even if that meant a simple hug. He will be dearly missed.

A Graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin IL at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016.  Pastor Chuck Wilcox will officiate.  Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
