Debra J. Gunter

Born January 10, 1953 in Chicago to Robert and Mary Ellen (McNary) Lambert, she married Dale Gunter on June 2, 1990 in Portage, Indiana. He survives.

Also surviving are five children, Patrick Walsh of Germantown Hills, Cheryl Gunter and Carolyn (Mike) Gunter Crowder, both of Batesville, Indiana, Crystal Gunter of Jefferson City, Missouri and Henry Gunter of Pekin; four grandchildren, Kayla Walsh, Megan Walsh, Catelyn Walsh and Mia Jones; one brother, Tom (Cynthia) Lambert of Crown Point, Indiana; one sister, Kathy Lambert Rucinski of Kouts, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Linda Brennan and one brother, Robert Lambert.

Debra enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling, playing games on her phone and making tie blankets. She collected pig and Pepsi memorabilia.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pekin. She volunteered at the food pantry and enjoyed going on Roadrunner trips with the church.

Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services and cremation will follow the visitation.
