Born June 24, 1935, in East Peoria to Leo Francis and Ruth Nettie (Churchill) Davis, he married Frances Joanne Monkman on June 13, 1957, in East Peoria. She passed away on February 7, 2010, in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two children, Scott Alan Davis of Pekin and Teresa (Mike) Frolik of St. Peters, Missouri; one grandson, Dustin C. (Rachel) Horton of Groveland; two step-grandchildren, Melissa and Alisha and one great-grandson, Jaxon Horton.
Dan worked as a salesclerk at Spence Tool & Rubber Co. starting in1953 and retiring in 2026.
He enjoyed playing with his great-grandson Jaxon, spending time with friends and traveling to New Orleans to visit friends in the French Quarter.
