Dianna Doylene Prine

Born August 6, 1949 in Pekin to Harold and Cuma (Walls) Chism, she married Virgil Dean Prine on September 20, 1969 at Spring Lake Missionary Church in rural Manito. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Deanna (Brendan) Schuller of Peoria and Melanie (Michael) High of Germantown Hills; one son, John Prine of Clinton and four grandchildren, Joshua Cockrell, Logan High, Garrett (Katie) High, and McKenna Schuller.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Chism; and her sister, Ginger (Chism) Netteler.

A graduate of Sikeston, Missouri schools, Dianna lived most of her life with her beloved husband Dean and their children in Illinois.

An avid rock collector, Dianna loved to travel the states with her husband (and sometimes her grandsons) in their camper for days, weeks, and months at a time to visit natural wonders and collect rocks, shells, and precious stones. One of their furthest and favorite trips was up into Canada and across to Alaska.

Above all, Dianna was devoted to her family. Married to the love of her life, they created and experienced many happy (and humorous) memories over their nearly 57 years of marriage. She doted on and adored her children and grandchildren, and never missed an opportunity to tease them, kiss them, and tell them she loved them.

Her loving presence will be remembered forever.

Dianna’s wishes were to be cremated at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with no visitation or funeral; but instead, to have a celebration of her loving and full life at a later date to be determined.
