

Born May 21, 1928 in LeRoy to Vernon and Hazel (Hawkins) Fuller, she married Donald Rogers Larry on April 19, 1952 in Farmer City. He died May 1, 1997 in Pekin.
She also is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Janice Larry of Pekin; one niece, Leigh Ann Doerr of Louisville, Kentucky; and one nephew, Kevin Fuller of Evansville, Indiana.
Dixie worked several years as a lab technician at the Christie Clinic in Champaign. She and her husband later co-owned and operated the Seven Acres Tavern and Restaurant in Tremont. She and her husband also operated Reid Music until the 1990's.
She was a former member of the Women of the Moose, and an active member in the Illinois Quarter Horse Association. She was proud to have been a first chair trombone player at Illinois State University, and was always ready to offer a friendly smile and a beer to anyone she met.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
