Born February 8, 1944 in Pekin to Arthur J. and Louise G. (Baccheschi) Mucciante, he married Jacqueline Nau on July 20, 1966 in Pekin. She passed away on February 16, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Art Mucciante.
Surviving are four children, Jeff Mucciante of Pekin, Tim (Marie) Mucciante of Pekin, Angel (Jon) Mucciante-Schneider of Lowell, Indiana and Chad (Trisha) Mucciante of Morton; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike (Cathy) Mucciante of Metamora and several nieces and nephews.
Don was an independent contractor, retiring at the age of 50.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Don enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.
His memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin with Father Michael Andrejek as the celebrant. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. A celebration of Don’s life will follow the burial at the Pekin Moose Lodge 916.
