Donald D Reeves, Jr.

Born December 11, 1927 in Joliet to Donald and Lillian (Trefzger) Reeves, he married Genevieve Rose Geier on November 11, 1950 in Peoria.  She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Nancy (Robert) Gottman of Creve Coeur; and three grandchildren, Joshua Sloan of East Peoria, Caitlin Reeves and Travis Reeves, both of Creve Coeur; and daughter-in-law, Jennie Reeves of Creve Coeur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ryan Raymond Reeves; one grandson, Trevor Reeves; and one sister, Norma Jean Lindsey.

A United States Navy veteran of World War II, he served from November 9, 1945 to October 27, 1947.

Don was employed by Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 1981 where he worked on the inter-plant industrial railroad in East Peoria.

He was a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.

Don enjoyed golfing, traveling, and sports especially the St. Louis Cardinal's.

His funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.  Father Michael Andrejek will be the celebrant.  Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.  Private burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
