Born on August 22, 1934 in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Edwin and Mabel (Radefeld) Swing. He married Wilma Lannert on August 12, 1956 in Pekin. She preceded him in death on May 15, 1989. Donald was also preceded by his parents and one brother, Vernon Swing.
He is survived by his children, Steve Swing of Pekin, Linda (Rick) Schmidgall of Texas, Larry (Pam) Swing, Mike Swing of Pekin; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Palmer of Pekin.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday August 15, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes &
Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Mark Drews will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
