Donna K. Tomlinson

Born August 14, 1941 in Peoria to Clarence William and Ethel Mae (Quakenbush) Shallenberger, Sr., she married John B. “Jack” Tomlinson. He died on October 31, 1995 in North Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pamela Kay Tomlinson on April 1, 1963; three brothers, Bruce Shallenberger, Bill Shallenberger and Clarence William Shallenberger, Jr. and Sandra (Charles) Tomlinson.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (Mark) Dafforn of Pond Creek, Oklahoma and Kathy Lyons of North Pekin; one son, John (Kathy Bellemey) Tomlinson of North Pekin; six grandchildren, Missy (Mark) Martin, Mindy Robinson, both of Enid, Oklahoma, Richard Regot of Pekin, Nathlie Regot, Amanda (Wesley) Burns, both of Marquette Heights and John Tomlinson, III of North Pekin; eight great-grandchildren and four brothers, Darrell (Jan Homerin) Shallenberger, Ron Shallenberger, Doug (Debbie) Shallenberger, all of Pekin and Larry Moore of Eureka Spring, Arkansas.

Donna worked for Community Care in Pekin for more than 20 years, but her biggest job was raising her family. She was known as a storyteller, liked to bowl and at one time was in to knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed worked crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire on the computer and Facebooking to see everyone.

Her celebration of life gathering will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at North Pekin AMVETS Post 169. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
