Dora C. Munter

Born March 6, 1952 in Pekin to Chuck and Betty (Tangman) McGill, she married Gale Munter on July 4, 1970 in Pekin.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years; one son, Kris (Shelly) Munter of Pekin; three grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden and Elliott; two sisters, Sally (Don) Johnson and Wendy McGill, both of Pekin and one brother, Michael (Sylvia) McGill of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dora was a former member of the Pekin Boat Club and served on the Pekin’s Women’s Auxiliary.

A homemaker, Dora was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She also enjoyed doing yoga and caring for her sister. She lived for her grandchildren. They brought the most enjoyment into her life.

Her memorial visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 24. 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Private inurnment will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
