

Born September 6, 1925 in Urbana to John Paul and Amanda (Washer) Stiebner, she married Eugene Byron Davis. She later married Everett Utah Hill on January 6, 1951 in Champaign. He died December 12, 1990 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one son (E. Byron Davis), one granddaughter, one great-grandson, one brother, and five sisters.
Surviving are four daughters, Elsie J. Sisler of Pekin, Dorothy I. "Dot" (Chuck) Bridgeman of South Pekin, Wilma R. (Richard) Marx of Manito, and Linda G. (Randy) Stewart of Norris, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; twin sister, Dorothy (Elton) Roberts of Champaign; and her cat, Max.
A housekeeper for many years, Doris last worked at the Holiday Inn in Pekin.
She was a member of South Pekin Southern Baptist Church and was a life member of the Pekin AMVETS ladies auxiliary.
Doris enjoyed going to church and doing arts and crafts.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Pastor Isaac Young will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
