Dorothy Ann Hibberd

Born July 10, 1929 in Farmington to Albert and Anna (Vlahovich) Muzzarelli, she married George Albert Hibberd, III on August 15, 1950 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1984. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Richard Muzzarelli and William Muzzarelli.

Surviving are four children, Vikki Hibberd of Peoria, George (Julie) Hibberd of Delavan, Steve (Stella) Hibberd of Peoria, and Les Hibberd of Pekin; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graduate of Farmington High School, Dorothy briefly worked at Caterpillar, Inc. After her marriage to George, she was a stay-at-home mom and held a few part-time jobs at local dress and gift shops. She and her husband were life-long residents of Pekin and belonged to the Pekin Country Club, where they were avid golfers.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

A potluck celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024 at her daughter’s home.
