She was born October 29, 1925 in Pekin to Fred and Anna (Nichols) Norris. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one sister, Virginia Norris of Pekin and one brother, Don Norris of Pekin.Dorothy worked for Stafford’s Dairy in Pekin for 23 years, retiring as the manager of both Pekin stores.
She loved to sew and crochet. Dorothy also was an avid reader and liked to bowl.She was of the Christian faith.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Najpaver will officiate. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
