E. Eileen Toel

Born June 14, 1918 in Peoria to Jess and Muriel (Crowe) Kirtley, she married Henry W. "Bud" Toel on March 4, 1938 in Peoria. He died June 18, 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Surviving are one son, William H. (Lisa) Toel of Pekin; one daughter, Nancy S. (Chuck) Reid of Cottonwood; five grandchildren, Kimberly L. (Steve) McArdle of Phoenix, James P. (Jennie) Toel of Scottsdale, Arizona, Susan Reid of Florida, Steven Reid and Brian Reid, both of Nevada and twelve great-grandchildren.

Eileen was formerly an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Pekin and Kings Daughters. She and her husband retired to Arizona in 1970.

Her graveside funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Ben Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
