

Born October 25, 1931 in Fryatt, Arkansas to William Luther and Florence Catherine (Robertson) Flynn, she married Raymond Albert Bianchi on May 14, 1949 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steve (Jackie) Bianchi of Pekin and Lindsay Bianchi of Roswell, Georgia; three daughters, Krista (Robert) Steinke of Roswell, Georgia, Lisa (Jami Edmonds) Bianchi of Rockford, and Gina (Terry) Abernathy of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Craig Bianchi of Coral Springs, Florida, Cole (Heather) Bianchi of Pekin, Trevor (Janel) Steinke of Alpharetta, Georgia, Adriane (Woodrow) Ware of Athens, Georgia, Dominique Steinke of Roswell, Georgia, and Brandon (Dianna Brent) Abernathy, Colin Abernathy, and Devan Abernathy, all of Pekin; two great-grandchildren, Talia Rose Bianchi and Garett Eugene Lee Abernathy of Pekin; three sisters, Roberta Campbell of Pekin, Carol (Robert) Lumley of Ozark, Missouri, and Aleta Way of Topeka; and three brothers, Aubrey Flynn of Green Valley, Roy (Janice) Flynn of Manito, and Kenneth (Vivian) Flynn of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister (Bonnie Campbell), and three nephews.
Ruth worked as a receptionist for Drs. Wherry, Werner, and Helden in Pekin for 15 years, last working in 1983. Previously, she worked as a switch board operator and at Pekin Hospital.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. She was past president and show chairman of the Pekin Sweet Adelines. She was also active in scouting and PTA during her children's school years.
Ruth enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, arts and crafts, writing poetry, and gardening.
Her funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday,July 14, 2007at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Larry Morlan will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where a Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
